    Steady state simulation of gas networks by Andrzej J. Osiadacz is the first proposal for publishing a series of Gas Engineers Library, publishing Fluid Systems Sp. z o. o. The book is a two-part, 409-page monograph, on computer modeling set of flows in gas networks.

    The first part of the book is a lecture on all aspects of modeling and calculations of flows in gas networks. The first chapter covers the basics of graph theory, as applied to construct images of the gas network. The second chapter is an overview of methods for solving systems of linear algebraic equations. The third chapter presents the numerical methods for solving equations and systems of nonlinear equations. Fourth, the last chapter of the first part of the work is a discussion of loop and nodal methods for steady-state simulation of gas networks. This chapter provides an overview of I and II Kirchoff's laws in terms of the matrix flow equations, methods, nodal- and looped methods for calculation of gas networks.

    The second part of the work is chapter five, including examples and exercises to illustrate the calculation of the gas networks, and chapter six - a description of the computer program to model flows in the gas networks. This program is SimNet SSV™, modeling flows in networks of low, medium and high pressure, and several pressure level networks .
